Review from Phil Cawser; “Some four years ago, my last major experimentation with rubbers led me to Xiom Vega X for spin and speed.The recent shift to much harder modern sponges was a surprise but was recommended by experts, and the Xiom Jekyll  & Hyde promise of extra touch control was irresistible.For me, the rubber has justified all its claims. Better spin grip, linear increase in speed the harder you go at it, and far better short game control. 47.5 sponge of a topspin player was definitely the right choice for me.” Jekyll & Hyde is speed and control combined in perfect synergy. I was initially sceptical about the claims Xiom have made with these rubbers and blade as I have heard this and trialled some of their equipment in the past but nothing has ever come close to the feel and control I had with my Stradivarius blade. However, the current combination I now have not only keeps this control, but adds extra speed to my game which is needed when playing a fast paced game. The new combination definitely has a quicker pace to the ball return and a lower arc compared to the Stradivarius, Omega combination making it harder for my opponent to control and return the ball. It is a great blade, rubber combination for away from the table players who play with spin and speed but it is equally impressive up close to the table for those that reloop the ball; especially on the backhand side. I am excited to put this into practice for the forthcoming season and hope to have just as much success, if not more that I had with the Stradivarius, Omega bat.”
