There are some that say Orsinius is not one person, but many, perhaps dozens over the century who have donned the same armour in bid to continue a legacy that inspires the hearts and minds of Baldur’s populace. Baldur’s modern hero. First did he rise to public praise after slaying the Giant of the Drylands, a rampaging cyclops that had ravaged many of Baldur’s southern villages. The deed earned him a knighthood, and a place within the Field Marshal’s court, often used to invoke awe in the general populace. If there was a monster that needed slaying or a village that needed defending, Orsinius was sent to valiantly serve his realm. For decades this was the case, Field Marshals would age and retire or perish in battle, yet Orsinius would remain. Six Field Marshal’s did he serve before Kurt Williams would become his new liege, and ever did the young Marshal use the Giant Slayer’s services. In the decades of Williams’ rule, he saw more blood than all the years past combined. Through the forests at Nan Thalias’ border, the savannahs of the south and jungles of Ukrondia he was sent, an agent of death for any rumoured monster that might hide in the nooks and crannies of the kingdom. Though most men might collapse in exhaustion at such a monumental task, it only seemed to spur Orsinius on. For in his travels he met many a troubadour and bard, and whilst some conferred to travel alongside him to witness his adventures first hand, he also paid many off to write songs of his deeds. There they would spread from hush corners of backwater villages all the way to the walls of Grimgate and Grimhelm within a matter of months, songs of his praise already being sung by the time he returned. Now he looks to write a new ballad, written in the blood of rebellion as he staunches the rebel threat that seeks to uproot Baldur’s traditions and values. Yet now a new foe emerges, with the Draksborne fleet on Grimhelm’s doorstep. Though many fear this new plight, Orsinius simply sees it as a tantalizing twist in his latest tale, a new chapter in his century-long legacy.
